Museums & galeries
We have it all – curated audiovisual exhibitions in large museums, several top-notch galleries, and humble folk museums in the villages.
When you’re in Zlín, definitely stop by the Museum of Southeastern Moravia and the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts, both located inside 14|15 BAŤA INSTITUTE in Baťa’s former factory complex. The several smaller galleries scattered around town, such as the G18 Gallery, are worth a visit, too.
Uherský Brod has a nice museum on J. A. Comenius, the father of modern education, and if you come to Luhačovice, stop by the ethnographic museum named Muzeum luhačovického Zálesí.
Among the smaller museums, we recommend visiting Muzeum Letecké bitvy nad Bílým Karpaty in Šanov, documenting an aerial battle that took place in the skies above the White Carpathians, the scout museum at klubovna Skalních orlů in Návojná, and the ethnographic museum in Vlachovice, featuring an open-air exposition of restored Wallachian drying huts.
Local fashion & design
Local design brands are not that hard to come by in our region. You can buy them at Courage in the Zlín Castle, at the Red Brick Design Shop, located inside the building of the regional library in Zlín, in the creative space of pro.story in Zlín, or in the design store Labuť on the spa colonnade in Luhačovice.

culture & events
Without a doubt, the most important event in the area is the Zlín Film Festival, which manages to attract thousands of visitors every year and turns the entire town upside down. Other big events include Barum Czech Rally Zlín, Masters of Rock in Vizovice, the folklore event Valašský mikulášský jarmek in Valašské Klobouky, and the popular classical music festival named Festival Janáček a Luhačovice. Fans of design and creative industries should definitely not miss the prestigious student event of Zlin Design Week.
Smaller events worthy of note include those organized by Živý Zlín and Zvěřinec and the Luhačovice multigenre festival named Luhovaný Vincent. You can also check out the program of Café Klášter in Napajedla.
